On January 29th, Sagola, a leading manufacturer of spray guns for bodyshop and professional automotive refinishing, organized a technical training session at IES Mare de Déu de la Mercè in Barcelona for teachers from the Automotive and Bodywork Department of the Government of Catalonia.

The session, strongly focused on practical application, was made possible thanks to the organization of teacher Jordi Juan Rodeja and the collaboration of Santiago Rico, Sagola technical specialist. During the training, participants worked directly with Sagola equipment under real application conditions, bringing industrial technology closer to the educational environment.

Teachers analyzed in depth the performance of the Sagola 4600 DFT spray guns, a benchmark model in bodyshop refinishing thanks to their exceptional transfer efficiency, excellent atomization, and highly uniform spray pattern, even in demanding applications. These features allow for high-quality finishes, reduced paint consumption and improved efficiency in modern refinishing processes.

The importance of air quality in painting processes

One of the key topics addressed during the training was compressed air quality, a critical factor in achieving consistent painting results. A live demonstration and disassembly of the Sagola 5300X air filter highlighted its role in removing contaminants and protecting the application process.

In addition, several solutions from the Sagola bodyshop spray gun and accessories range were presented, along with professional painter support tools such as the ALTAIR LED inspection lamp, designed to improve visual control during application and final finish inspection.

Following the success of the two SagolaSPRAY™ virtual spray booths already in operation on the islands over the last year, Vocational Training in the Canary Islands is taking a new step towards innovation and sustainability with the incorporation of 18 additional units. These 20 cabins, distributed in educational centres throughout the archipelago, represent a technological and environmentally friendly solution that reduces emissions and product consumption in technical training in the bodywork and industry sectors. Training days organised by Timanfaya Color

On 3 and 4 June, two intensive technical training days were held, organised by Timanfaya Color, Sagola's official distributor on the islands, under the guidance of the specialised technician Jorge Padrón. The training, aimed at vocational training teachers, focused on the pedagogical use of this advanced simulation technology.

Immersive technology for training without limits

A total of 39 teachers from Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, Tenerife and La Palma participated in this transformative experience. Compared to standard tips, it allows for better application in challenging climates, reducing evaporation issues and improving finish uniformity.

Pack 6000X: Greater precision and faster application
Additionally, after proving its performance in Axalta Portugal's workshops, its Training Center has decided to incorporate the Pack 6000X, our air heater for spray guns, which improves spray fan stability, optimizes paint atomization, and reduces drying times, increasing process efficiency.
